My son said that when he is driving my car and turns on the radio (installed by same son) that the sports car shuts down. i have a 97 imperial am that has be babied and single has 21000 miles on it. this have never happened to me, but it's happen to him a few times. i think it's the radio electric wiring. what should we check?
Answers: it really shouldn't be the problem on those years. The radio just hooks to the radio circuit. On newer cars starting surrounded by 01 on grand am alot runs through the radio. I hold installed several radios in a bunch of different models and never hear of this. Pull the radio out though to make sure nought is pinched and all connections are honest. It may just be coincidence though.
Yep, own a mechanic check the wiring connections from the radio. Dont tolerate son screw it up worse>
