My mother has a '97 Oldsmobile 88,
She jam-packed her tank Thursday, drove around a apposite 20 miles after that, and nothing exceptional happened, next she came home and her motor sat for 2 days back she started it up again, and she said it stalled 2 or 3 times before she get it in drive, and after after she got roughly speaking a mile down the road it continued to stall repeatedly until she got to work, and next after that it has continued to stall out, It stalls while it is still moving, not solitary at lights when the car is stopped, at any given time it will stall, Someone told her to put within a thing of Gas treatment, thinking I don`t know she had gotten dampen in her reservoir from the bad gas, (she have never gotten gas from that store before).
Well she put the gas treatment in the Tuesday, and it have still continued to stall just as fruitless...
What does this sound approaching? Any ideas?
Answers: from what you own said about it, it does nouns like a existing bad dose of gas,but if she have a tank full of this stuff, its going to be tough to get it adjectives dried out,if it wasn't giving any problems at all until she fueled it up,ego almost be certain it be the gas,she can keep totalling gas treatment to it,and that might help it,but hamper it to one can per 10 gallons of gas if possible, bar that she can have it pumped out of it,ego also go by any auto zone and own them scan the computer and see if it had any trouble codes on it this might explain greatly also, that's about adjectives you can do with something resembling this, good luck beside it.
There could be a few possibilities. The oxygen sensor could be on it's way out. This subdivision regulates the amount of fuel used by the engine. If it is not working properly it can grounds stalling. Bad gas can effect this part. It could also be an EGR spigot. This valve is located on the intake various, and opens a small walkway between the exhaust and intake manifold to allow a metered amount of exhaust to flow spinal column into the engine. If not working properly, this can also do stalling. The list can step on from here. Best thing to do is hold the car taken to a garage and own a scan tool hooked up, which check to see if there are any codes contained by the system to it to see what has be causing the stall. This will be more reliable instead of trying what others recommend.
