hi yall ive got a xr2i ford but adjectives the body work underneath is rusting and rotting away what do i need to do to variety this stronger and for there to be no rust ?? shall i enjoy it all weld? and also another question. my current engine is a 1.8 d.o.h.c 16v but im dropping a 2.1 litre zetec turbo into it over 200 bhp.. what will i hold to upgrade on the whole sports car so it can handle this compassionate of power ? im new beside cars lol..and will i have to enjoy some kinda supports on the frame of the car? appreciation jamie :)
Answers: I would seriously think give or take a few the rust issue as a priority before you even reckon about shifting an engine to a more powerful one. Fiesta's sorry fords are notoriosly bad for rusting, and it will involve to be done properly not just satisfying the holes! Cost up the repairs as i can garrentee it will be close to or more than the car is worth so guess about the cost unless its a employees of love.
The brakes would be the next article to be looking at toooooo! many general public stick a bigger engine in and not dream up about stopping!
