I have a slight problem next to my central locking..... the sports car is a 1996 n reg mk3 vw golf 2.0 8v gti..... this car does not enjoy remote central locking. the centralized locking only works surrounded by a strange order. for example, after driving the vehicle in establish for the central locking to work when re-opening adjectives doors, i need to lock it from the inside drivers door. this also is the covering for turning the key to the ignition switch. the inside drivers switch will other activate and make safe the central locking machine yet the outer door lock will singular work once using the method above. if i do not follow the above method then the push button will only lock adjectives doors but when re-opened will only widen the drivers door and when they key is turned to the ignition switch, it unlocks adjectives other doors automatically. Can anyone point me in the right direction to solve this thing? it would help me if anyone could make a contribution me some advice..thank you severely much... :)
Answers: I had an MG Montego a few years ago that did equal thing irregularly.
I used to cure the problem by pushing all of the buttons down by mitt , then operating the drivers door lock several times. I don't know if this will give a hand on your Golf but maybe it's worth a try.
Good Luck.
