Check Engine reading light on - code PO420?

Had problems getting my 1996 F150 to pass emission because of this, ended up varying the catalytic converter, and all 3 oxygen sensors. After this the oil lamp went out for roughly speaking a month passed emissions, very soon it came posterior on with this code. Seems to run fine, couldn't find any vacuum leak, doesn't burn oil anything similar to that. Checked the connectors on the oxygen sensors, they seem to be connected. Any concept? Thanks.

How much would a tune up cost?

According to the information I was competent to obtain, check engine code: PO420 process that the Catalyst effifiency is below threshold (bank 1). There could be an issue with the installation of your Cat. Converter or the O2 Sensor is giving not working readings.

Hope ya attain it figured out!

Have you checked the emission at the exhaust pipe? Could well be that your replacement cat is substandard, its not uncommon for cats to be flawed especially if it was a cheap one.

Starter letdown?

P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)

That's what the code comes put money on to. As to why, no idea. Well, the most adjectives reason is it's time to replace the catalytic converter (ouch!).

Answers:    Check your EGR solenoid valve and your lines going to the canister and also the canister. I don't reason the problem was ever within the cat or the 02 sensors. Sometimes the code is the result of a problem causing sensors to accomplishment weird. In your defence, you have low flow. This does not miserable you have low flow. This method something is causing O2 sensors or cat to throw up the code, and I focus the problem is going to be found in the EGR solenoid spigot or a clogged canister. Since you said there be no vacuum leaks, I guess in attendance is no reason to point you at the PCV tube. That would also grounds it, but it would stall too.
