I was wondering what would be the best point to use to clean the inside of my headlights on my motor. I have tried cleaning the outside, next to minimal results. I know its dirt on the inside of the light, but enjoy no idea how to undamagingly clean it out. Please Help !!
Answers: 1. headlights are hermetic, there is no cleaning the inside.
2. what you are seeing is not dirt, but the plastic i.e. chemically changing due to weather, boil of the lamp and the insufficiency of UV protection in the plastic.
3. this is more adjectives on cars then most realize. its clearly see on older Mustangs, Chrysler vehicle, Hyundai's and even some Honda's. Saturns are now joining that group.
4. adjectives you can do...
A. replace the headlights.... avg price is $250 each.
B. find a headlight restoration service and hold them fix them. this is hard to do... as here are about single 3 such companies in the USA. I am one of them.
C. live next to it.
you will have to help yourself to the headlight assemblies apart, and then verbs the lenses while off the coup¨¦. also make sure you DONT touch the bulbs. they are tremendously heat sensative and any oil from your hands will make happen them to blow.
