Does keeping the clutch fully down while coasting to a stop add undue wear? (ie - at a stop light)

Is it best use the clutch as infrequently as possible?

Answers:    Depends on what you can undue. There is a "throw-out bearing" or similar idling system that get exercised when you do this. It is not a very expensive part but it surrounded by an expensive to get to location. On the other hand, it is designed to do this livelihood.

If you're talking about the time it take to get from the bottom of 2nd gear to a stop, under braking, next don't worry about it.

But if you are discussion about coasting longer than that ona regular basis consequently you are not driving as safely as possible. Downshifting through the gears as you slow down, keeping them engaged, puts you within a position to accelerate quickly if needed. Just holding anything gear but pressing the clutch leaves you less able to respond to traffic or pedestrian surprises around you.
