hi all my sports car is a ford fiesta xr2i 16v mk3 ive just bought a pipercross induction tools but my friend said i wont get the really best performance from it if i dont fir a cold nouns feed pipe or summin but we dont know how to fit them ...could anyone explain how to fit these and be exactly they connect to... its meant to supply cold air to the filter but i dont twig how it can if its just replacing my older pipe from the efi manifold <<confused any direction plz :)?
Answers: Your induction kit should sustain performance some. Yes, directing cold nouns to the air filter will raise things - as opposed to it picking up nouns already warmed by the hot engine. Most kit shield the air filter from the reheat air and direct cold nouns towards it - you could probably make something to do this near some aluminum flashing and duct tape - only build a 3 sided box around the air filter beside the opening towards fresh nouns intake. After you get the desired effect afterwards remake it out of heavier aluminum or fiberglass.
