can you change a head gasket on a 3 cylinder corsa i be told in the garage you cant you will need a trial engine

1 - making a shed load of money out of you
2 - the people surrounded by workshops are trained monkeys that only know how to replace units and not repair stuff
3 - if they do fix it they'll charge lb200+ for parts and 10 hours at lb90 an hour to do it so fitting an engine will be smaller quantity labour cost for you.
4 - A factory engine will be warranted by factory, a changed skipper gasket will have to be warranted by garage and they don't want the risk.
You should find a wearing clothes garage that will change the head gasket for you.
Have a look on Unipart website for approved garages as i find these are usually pretty moral.
