Duramax Hands down.I enjoy worked in a shop 11 years and see only a couple of duramax engines beside problems.Go and drive all three and you will see that also the recitation of a duramax is so much better.

i own an 05 duramax lly crewcab 8tf bed dually. best truck i ever owned, bought it new 2 years ago and never have a problem. went from a 2001 dodge. and men dont drive fords

I hold had the Ford 7.3 and it be good. A bit tough on fuel, 15 to 18 mpg. Had some transmission issues from towing generous loads. The newer 6.0 liter engine has no power and have had turbo problems.
The Duramax beside the Allison transmission is much more powerful and get 20 to 25 mpg. It just loves to verbs. I have pulled 30,000 lb loads for over 500 miles next to it and never even gotten the transmission or engine hot!
While the Cummins be the best engine for some time, the truck transmission and driveline be crap. The new Duramax have always be quieter and smoother, and now have much more power.
If you want a great truck, the Chevy is holding the crown hands down.
