Decreasing '93 Silverado fuel reduction.?

I have had my Silverado for in the order of five years, My fuel economy has gone from 18 mpg to currently 11 - 12 mpg. I hold had a recent tune up. and use the same fuel as i own the entire time. My driving habits are the same, and I am seeking design to get back my mileage hopefully to impossible to tell apart as it was or close. Valid ideas would be nice, gratefulness.

My first thought is the oxygen sensor - it need not be bad ample to throw a code - but it does regulate the amount of gas going to your engine - your throttle position sensor, mass air flow sensor (and air filter) and oxygen sensor adjectives work in conjunction with respectively other. good luck
all the answers above, but my press is what is your rpm's while idling? it may not be a sensor but just need to adjust your air mixture. as a vehicle ages all cut in mpg's. my advise is find someone that know all about these things that doesn't re-lie on machines to supply them the answers, but can back the talk next to experience. i don't think tires are your problem just plain infirm wear and tare. so do clean the fuel injector's.

Answers:    Have you had the injectors cleaned? They may be to dirty for the stuff that you run through the tank. Probably wishes a professional cleaning done on them. Also check the tire pressures if they are running lower than they should that will also eat up the fuel mileage. Also what brand gas do you use? Use a tier two or three for these have better cleaners surrounded by them, if possible don't use tier one type gas.
