Driving Economically?

When driving a petrol engined vehicle, am I right in thinking that if you are cruising, at say, 55-60mph and come to a mound, that it is best to use max throttle. Then, when the engine starts to labour, change down. The plea I ask is that a petrol engine only produces max torque at any given revs when you use max throttle. But, will you be using more fuel?H

I'm have a few coup¨¦ electrical problems?

Where can I find the Merco/Dextron Transmission...

Do not just stamp on the loud pedal at hill but increase acceleration slightly so the vehicle does not loose speed, if it does begin to slow press down slightly more and engage lower gear if the engine after begins to labour

Honda harmony sedan or coupe?

Answers:    The best method to drive economically is to drive smoothly without sudden acceleration or braking - both of which increase fuel consumption. You should drive within the highest gear possible for the situation you are in.

The best method to tackle your hill is to drop a gear ( or 2) at the bottom and argue steady revs as you go up! Maintaining sready revs will keep your fuel consumption down and the lower gear will hand over you the extra power you need.
