Answers: I WORK AT AUTO ZONE DURALAST BATTERIES ARE MADE BY JOHNSON CONTROLS THE SAMAE AS SEVERAL OTHER TOP BRANDS THEY ARE EXCELLENT BATTERIES UNLESS YOU PLAN ON EXTREME USE I WOULDNT SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY ON AN OPTIMA .....
Duralast, Exide, Super Start (O'Reilly's Brand), & Autocraft (Advance Brand) have be good battery from what ive seen. EverStart from Wal-Mart, its really kinda hit or miss. Optima, from everything ive see, is an expensive paperweight. It takes a completely different (off the car) charging system to recharge. Ive hear trickle charging works but ive heard it can verbs it, normal charger will do like. Id just stay near the acid battery myself.
