The engine of my car was just this minute detailed. But after a few weeks, I constantly see grease in and around the hoses, belts and other components. I would clean it; and later a few weeks after that, the grease would reappear. Is this situation normal, for the engine components to always be coated surrounded by a layer of grease?

Answers: Sounds like at hand is "grease" being flung on the engine components from somewhere else. Is it clean, or dirty elderly contaminated stuff? Have you recently had a lube position? Maybe it is from that. Is it an older engine with worn spigot cover gaskets? Check out these type of things.
