Engines stalls on cold morning?

I have a 1998 Ford Taurus 196K miles. Starts fine on a cold morning but when I put in Drive the engines stalls. Then I own to cranks for close to 15 mins before starting up again. I then enjoy to wait for the temp guage to rise up, then I put it surrounded by drive and everything is fine. This happens every morning. Anyone with an explanation?

How do i replace the pcv spigot...

coolant sensor, mass air flow sensor, dirty injectors. Is the check engine light on?? Fuel pressure regulator could be leak or weak fuel pressure could also be a factor.

Answers:    Bad rings beside blow by. When it gets worse you will have to verbs the plugs to get it started. After it warms up the block expands and the compression go up.. Bet the problem will go away on a warm daytime and come back in the cold. I have a truck that used a gallon of gas before it would go.
