Excess steam contained by brakes for 1994 Plymouth Grand Voyager?

I just replaced the rotors and pad on my front wheels of my 1994 Plymouth Grand Voyager. My wife drove the van and said here was smoke coming from the right front reins when she returned home. I could not touch the nuts in taking stale the wheel because they be too hot. The new brake rotor be discoloured due to heat and what be smoking was the high-ranking temperature grease I have put between the pads and calipers. What would wreak this heat on a front helm drive vehicle? Do I have a gearstick bearing going bleak or is there some other problem?

Answers:    More than likeliy the caliper is lifeless up and keeping the pads touching the rotor. You will stipulation to replace or rbuild the caliper and replace the pads and rotors, recommend to do both sides to equal out the system. Also check the brake hose to put together sure it hasn't collapsed causing he same problem by holding pressure to the caliper
