Exhaust Coating?

Does anyone know where I can acquire exhaust manifolds 'ceramic' coated in the U.K. Preferably Scotland .

Scanner say P1345 code?

Answers:    I've never hear of anyone doing it to a car exhaust many, specially not up here m8.

What's you're reason for it ?

Cosmetic,to tidy up infirm rough looking manifold?

Preservation,to prevent it going that opening? or

Heat, are you trying to stop the manifold from radiating so much bake into the engine bay?

There are masses heat resistant paints you can buy from Halfords or Autosave and the similar to,they're ok don't exactly stop the manifold from rusting and they tend to fade after a while.

If you want to soak up the bake you can buy exhaust lagging 'bandage' wrap from most tuning shops which you coil round the manifold. It's not earthenware,it's like gooey fabric duck video if you can imagine that.

It's fiddly and can be a distress to do but it does seem to product a noticable difference, well it did next to my 16v cav which suffered tempremental running from drawing in engine inlet heat through the induction gear (that's with a duet of cold air feed too).

Can't remember how much it was very soon and I found it much easier to remove the manifold completely to do it,similar to I say it be worth doing !

I hope this helps you,Bob

What adjectives would i inevitability to move...

I don't reason that this is often done for cars, but I suggest that it is sometimes done for bike exhausts, so that they do not "blue" from the heat. So conceivably try a few bike dealers. Good luck!
