Ford Focus (UK) engine disturbance ?

I have a sound out concerning a Ford Focus 1.8 ZETEC E which has done 71 000 miles.

The problem is that when the engine is cold and I am contained by neutral and I rev the engine up to speak 2000 rpm and listen as the revs come down, at about 1250 rpm at hand is a hissing type sound which is not nearby at any other rpm. I can hear the noise as very well in adjectives gears when driving but only when the revs come down to just about 1250 rpm. Strangely when the engine is hot and the car is idle in impartial, there is no rumbling when at 1250 rpm.
I have taken the motor to a ford garage for an opinion and they give the impression of being to think that it is an flux system hose that is diluted or leaking.
I am worried because on my recent service, the garage overfilled the engine grease by 250 - 500 ml (which has in a minute been corrected), but could this clamour be connected with this ? It also crossed my mind that it could be exhaust related. Any thinking welcome
