Hi i am looking to change my coup¨¦ to a Ford Mondeo turbo diesel either a 115 bhp or 130 bhp and i own a number of question that i hope you kind relatives would answer for me.
1: Which is better a 115 bhp or 130?
2:I am looking at ex company or lease versions of this motor. Are they a good buy?
3: Ive be told that the Mondeo Diesels from 03/04 Reg do not have timing belts, is this correct? and if so what do they use instead
4:Are they reliable?
5: Are They expensive to service?
6:Should i avoild dignified milers or is this a good sign that they hold been resourcefully maintained?
7:Are they any polite?
Thank you for your time and paitence i hope to hear from you soon
Kind Regards
Sean
Answers: 1. Makes little difference, go for the best condition sports car.
2. You can't generalize. Some ex-company cars are good, some own been driven by idiots. Go for the best condition coup¨¦.
3. Unsure - don't think so. Nowt wrong near a belt of you get it changed at the proper intervals.
4. Yes.
5. No (relatively).
6. Depends on the mileage. 100,000 is no problem so long as the car's be looked after. I'd even got for a 200,000 miler so long as the price and condition be right. Bear in mind clocking a motor is easy. No one buys a Mondeo TD and does 5000 miles a year.
7. Yes, as transport they're brilliant. Far better than teh vauxhall equivalent.
I would agree near all that Steve C have said.
