Ford Mondeo Tyre Pressures?

Hi i have recently bought a Mondeo TDCi 130 instruction manual on a 04 plate and i need to know what the correct tyre pressures should be

My tyre size is 205x55xR16

Well i have only contacted ford and they have said the following
if the car is unloaded the pressures are as follows

FRONT: 2.4 BAR WHICH IS EQUAL TO 34 PSi
REAR: 2.8 BAR WHICH IS EQUAL TO 40 PSi

If the saloon is loaded or at speed ie motorway etc the pressures are as follows

FRONT: 2.3 BAR WHICH IS EQUAL TO 33 PSi
REAR: 2.1 BAR WHICH IS EQUAL TO 30 PSi

What do you guys/gals think of this? as i do a lot of motorway driving next to me and my girlfriend

My clutch pedal is kinda firm....?

DON'T use the "max pressure" marking on the side of the tyre for insinuation - it means exactly that; the maximum pressure at which the tyre will run safely. If you run your tyres at this pressure you will wear out the central point of the tread very quickly and it will affect the car's handling

the lower set of pressures you give is for unladen motoring and the higher set is for laden

"laden" is customarily classed as having a couple of passengers and some luggage

if you want your pressures checked regularly beside a correctly calibrated guage then ask your local tyre fitter - there's no rationale they should charge for this service, and running them at the correct pressure will help increase the life of the tyres

The info should be on the side of the tire. Or on the door post on the driver side.If this is what you do and that is what they said. I would progress with that info. I would also check out the tires and read the info there.

Seems unlikely. Usually pressures are higher for sophisticated speed/greater load. You may have be given the info the 'wrong' way round. Check with another couple of dealer. Speed generates heat and raise pressures, always check when cold.

The motorway figures net more sense, the unloaded figures seem excessive. The tyre pressures should be on a sticky label on the inside of the petrol filler cap.
