I own a five-year old KIA magentis, and am no longer happy near it, or should I say the dealership.
The car's been subsidise to the dealership almost every weekend since the New Year, and I really feel like I'm self taken for a ride. Every time something is fixed, another problem comes up. It's almost like they are setting things up to fail basically to make me come back to draw from it fixed.
The timing belt was replaced at the beginning of the year (only a few short weeks ago), and very soon it needs to be adjusted AGAIN.
Anyone out nearby ever bought a KIA and regretted it? I am so not buying from that brand ever again. Please don't tell me I'm the only one have these issues!
First past its sell-by date, keep ALL receipts and a record of adjectives work done by the dealership. If they replaced the timing Belt and it needs adjustment THIS soon it should be done for free. While it is being done they should donate you a loaner to drive until your car is fixed.
Needing repairs on a 5 year old vehicle isn't extraordinary and is to be expected. Just keep up on the maintenance, document everything (it help on the resale value) and if you suspect the dealership of fraud go to another one.
Not sure why you are having these problems. the saloon itself has great reviews and generally have no major problems that any other vehicle would have. as for your timing belt need adjustment, they are done automatically . What do you mean it has to be done by the shop? Sorry to utter this . But I think the dealer saw you coming. You are probably getting hosed on unneeded repairs. Answers: On the positive side, you do have a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty on the engine and transmission which miserably does not cover the timing belt replacement. You can also try another Kia dealer in your nouns for service. I would stick with the car for a few years knowing that any sports car needs routine service and that your protected if the engine or transmission should come to nothing. Plan to buy a Toyota next time, but no manufacturer's car is problem free. You might want to buy a saloon with a "timing chain" rather than a timing belt if you plan on keeping it for 200,000 miles.

The Lemon Law should facilitate you, all dealerships post this info in their waiting rooms. Call you vendor and ask for the #800 to file your claim, that will get them moving on your problem. Sorry your have so much trouble with it.
