I have in recent times bought a ford fiesta 1998 Lx 1.25 Zetec..
It has done 80,000 miles.
If i enjoy half a reservoir of petrol, roughly how many miles should i expect to bring back out of it, if it is in dutiful working condition still?
Please help, as my ultimate car did going on for 35 miles per quarter tank...
Also the middle locking isnt working and it is taking a bit of time to open the drivers side door.. is nearby anything i can do or not?

roughly on half a atnk it should do between 200/300 miles depending on driving conditions and roads,also depends how you drive and wot sort of journey around town driving you will use alot more fuel due to constant stopping and starting.
as for central locking this is most credible to be the cental locking solnoid these are prown to getting damp etc due to sea ingress from window sill etc its not an expensive opportunity and could be done yrself.
In theory, the combined cycle should be 45-ish mpg, but that adjectives depends on the condition of the engine, and how you drive.
As for how far half a reservoir will get you - it have a 10 gallon tank. Assuming the 45mpg means is correct you're looking at 225 miles on half a container.
As for the central locking out of action, I suggest you get it properly repaired. It'll probably be something pretty simple.

a moment ago running around locally so at least you should do five miles extra.As to the intermediate locking it`s a car electrician you entail,but not at the main dealer,try a local garage,see if
they will give you a free estimate.
Have a Citroen C4 sixteen hundred hatch automatic and running nearly, doing twenty four mph,two weeks old.
PS knob sender or key battery-operated may be up the spout.
