My 2003 cadillac has a button to push to depart the fuel door. When the car is parked it is very soon popping open and when I close it, it pops initiate again. I can see the mechanism working after it pops unscrew. It just keep working. The button inside the car is not depressed so it may be a short circuit How can I fix it?
Answers: Could be the contacts surrounded by the switch are stuck in the closed position or a shorting cable...remove the switch and unplug it to see if the door actuator still trys to work.
