I went to walmart yesterday to get an grease change. They said I needed some sort of fuel system service. They didn't say the coup¨¦ was going to break down without it but they said it's a routine entry that you're supposed to do every so many miles. It was single 20 bucks to I figured I might as well.
I walk out when they were doing it and a lot of smoke be coming from the exhaust. I figured it was no big business deal and it was part of the cleaning. I took the vehicle and went on with my year. I filled up the tank that dark. Today, after driving about 50 miles, I've gone through half a reservoir of gas. Normally I get ~31 mpg. My fuel tank is 11 gallons, so that would show I'm getting about 9 miles to the gallon. Is this normal? Will it budge away? I know new cars(because they're new) get lower mileage until they receive broken in. Is this the same sort of situation?
If the mileage stays approaching this, what can I do? Can I hold them liable for damages?
If they added fuel injector cleaner on a tank simply 1 quarter full or less, then that mechanism they damaged the O2 sensor which could cost around $150 USD. The good entry is that they are not hard to replace by yourself.
You should hurry backbone to them, explain the problem and let them check their work for leaks or something that did not catch done right. If there is a leak in attendance is a fire danger so do not let it move about. Do not go somewhere else because they will not know what the other shop did and may not find the problem. A fuel system cleaning should show an immediate overhaul in gas mileage if the system was dirty. Walmart guarantees their work.
Answers: They may have forgotten to reattach the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator.

Cleaning fuel injectors should not make happen a major loss of fuel economy as you described -- if anything, it should be dull or perhaps a small increase in mileage.
It is possible that their mechanic disconnected one or more fuel injectors, so that your motor is running on fewer injectors and working harder on the remaining injectors.
It is also possible, though less potential, that one or two injectors got clogged up by deposits that were dislodged by the cleaning process.
A $20 fuel injector cleaning process is especially low end. They didn't do very much, except conceivably pour a can of FI cleaner in your gas tank, or perchance hook up their FI cleaning machine to your FI rail for a rushed cleaning job.
Ask them to do a fuel pressure check, to make sure your fuel pump is providing sufficient pressure within the rail.
Ask them to re-inspect all the signal wires on the injectors for proper installation - I don`t know one was disconnected. They could also do an electrical signal check for proper voltage and signal waveform/timing.
If that doesn't do the job, consequently suggest that they remove, test the spray pattern and if important, clean each injector rotten the engine (that's a lot of cost and they will probably reject that idea.) But it would share you conclusively if any injectors were defective or clogged up.

Vauxhaull Corsa ( overheating )?
This is not even close to mundane,it is possible that damage was done to your O2 sensor. If the O2 sensor be damaged it will not read the oxides of nitrogen correctly. It will be trying to correct your fuel rate to compensate for a condition that does not really exist. As far as liabilty you can try to get them to earnings for it but I would be surprised if they do. Wal-Mart usually hires tire kickers to do their work, real techs want real money, you take what you pay for. Fuel system cleaners are not always compatible next to all cars. It is best to read the label past you use any of these products. If the label does not specifically state that it will not harm catalytic convertors or O2 sensors, later I would not use it.Go back to Wal-Mart and explain what happened.
