i believe i have a gas leak. im not sure if i do or not. i freshly know that i am only getting 10mpg with my 95 toyota corolla. i do not see or ever push the engine hard. normal driving i lone get 10mpg. is that correct? any one else have a corolla that just get 10mpg? no modifications. i have changed the grease, filter, spark plugs, wires. still only 10mpg. sometimes i smell gas, sometimes i dont. i have looked outside lower than the car when i stop but i dont see any gasoline. any help or impression will be appreciated. thankyou

If it is a mechanical problem, it could be a clogged fuel filter and nouns filter, but that kind of car should find over 20 right?

Answers: A gas leak that large would depart from evidence. You would certainly smell it, and probably see a stain, or even a puddle where you park it.

With the engine running, pull the vacuum hose off of the fuel pressure regulator and see if fuel leak out. Common problem on any fuel-injected car. Also check the injectors themselves for wetness.somebody is helping themselves to some free gas!
