Gas mileage problem??

I have a 1994 Pontiac Bonneville SE. My last two tank have gotten no gas out of them. Both times i have purely put $20, about 7 gallons of gas in. Last cistern I got only 120 miles on it. This cistern is even worse. And half of the miles on it are highway miles. When I drive the needle cant stay surrounded by one place, and when I break it deep down and my dashboard beeps at my to check my fuel determine. i use fuel system cleaner and have a cold air intake on it, and I drill holes contained by my muffler. Whats the problem?? I have been driving non-aggressively :)

Drilling holes in your muffler would only breed it worse. More than likely you have a unresponsive oxygen sensor, there cheap on this car so if you want to hold it changed without being diagnosed it would not hurt to do it and could single help.

Spark plug hiatus for 98 Grand Cherokee...

Answers:    sounds approaching it might be an oxygen sensor (like everyone else said). It should located behind the cat, and looks almost like near is another almost spark plug looking cable connected to the piping. this is where it should be. The prices for new o2 sensors are probably around 20-$30. and the problem beside the dashboard sounds like an electrical problem with nouns to the fuel tank. you might be getting fine mileage, but your car think it's empty way earlier it is. Which might be why it jumps around. Also, check to make sure that you hold the sensor in your cold air intake properly connected. If it's not, it could effect your engine to think that you are giving it too little air (when you are in reality giving it more) and burn more gas faster to keep the engine running properly. Lastly, what do you define as non-aggressive driving :) ?

Hope this help!
