If there's more than one person within the car my handbrake tend to click. I'm not sure whether the handbrake is the problem but it seems that's where on earth the noise is coming from, someone suggested the bearing? It goes a touch worse when I turn left aswell. Any accepted wisdom would be appreciated

Answers: This is a known problem near punto's and it's your handbrake cable which touches the body.
You need to remove the reverse ashtray and stick some rubber or foam between the floor and the handbrake adjuster.
It needs to be around 70mm by 50mm in size.
Well, it is a FIAT and we adjectives know what that stands for (Fix It Again Tomorrow)....Drive it to the scrappers immediately!
