my power steering on my peugeot 306 estate has gone heavy i own checked the fluid that seems fine and it has have a power steering belt put on about 6 months ago, but it did go contained by for a clutch and gear box 3 weeks ago put on by a mate and the steering has gradually get heavier and heavier since.
Might check your tire (tyre) pressures also. If one is low you may have a feeling that the wheel is hard to hold. But more promising it is the pump going out.
Answers: Maybe the pump itself is going out. If it gradually dieing, I'd say it be the whole pump.
