Heater Core Leak?

Yesterday my 10 year old Subaru's heater kicked out some smokey smelling nouns that was so bad that I have to open the windows lately to get it out of my car. The stove was working great like other today but there was still a slightly smokey smell if you stuck your trunk right in the vent. There hasn't been any leak from the engine and the coolant levels are still pretty high. Everyones dictum its a heater core leak but I'm not exactly sure. What do you guys ponder it is? What should I do?

most likelly a leak heater matrix[can be hard to return with to]..check for wet patches on the floor below the meeting point of the dash...was nearby plenty anti-freeze in the rad?

Answers: If your fluid level is still perfect, later your core is good, if you have a show on the windshield like a fog, then its doomed to failure, OR fluid on your floor board its bad. MY guess is a short of bad blower motor.
