The last time I posted the put somebody through the mill, I got answers in connection with disconnecting the tubes. The answer I really want is something that I can put under the rug on the passenger side to preserve it from getting wet, as the towel I put below there does no apposite.
You could try some 'rad weld' type goop to mend the leak, buy it from an auto shop and read the instructions, it go in the cooling system, which get to the heater core.
Don't try unprocessed eggs, or porrige oats, it will just put together a nasty mess. Buy propper stuff
In desperation, embezzle out the carpet and punch a hole surrounded by the floor.
And allways carry a couple of gallons of hose.
Open the hood and you will see 2 hoses running into the firewall on the passenger side.
Disconnect them and hook them together - this bypasses the space heater core until it can be repaired.
Answers: If you don't want to get the percolate fixed, take a sharp cut-throat bladed utility knife and cut a big division of the carpet out. Remove it and tolerate it dry somewhere. Now mop up the water slickly on the bare metal floor vessel as it accumulates.
Hook the heater hoses together. if you run low on coolant you could hold bigger problems than a wet floor.
