Ok, strangest thing ever. I was driving down the road at more or less 110 km/h. All of a sudden the car kind of rattled ( dont believe it made a noise) and the engine died, but the sports car still kept coasting. I tried starting it repeatedly, even in neutral when the coup¨¦ was still running (its an automatic) and nothing happen. The motor is seized, i know this. Whenever i turn the key however, NOTHING happens. The gauge all light up, adjectives the electronics work, but when i turn the key, there is no racket from the starter. It just turns with no pressure, no click and NO NOISE. approaching the car is bare bones. I have need of help figuring out why the saloon wont start, what made it completely shut off when it ws running fine doing 110, and any part numbers for this problem. ive be told its a starter solenoid, but that doesnt expklain why the car shut off, i've also be told it's the ignition. ANY HELP WITH THIS WOULD BE VERY VERY HELPFUL. to anlyone who takes the time to answer this...thank you

Answers: Theres a couple things that can cause this but first let MAKE SURE your engine is infact seized, just hitting the starter and having zilch happen whether the car stalled first or not doesnt event. Take a set of jumper cables or tacky wire and run it from the battery to the solenoid on the starter OR hold a screwdriver and jump the solenoid to the battery nurture at the starter, either works.. If the engine IS seized you can pull your plugs and put grease down in the cylinders then manually try breaking it free but the engine most credible wont run right again.. if it ISNT seized tho there could be an ignition problem or starter problem as you were told already.. a short surrounded by the wiring will also do this and YES will cause the engine to turn past its sell-by date and then have nil happen. A seized engine will usually let the starter attempt to see but nothing happens and your starter will nouns like its tearing itself apart. *horrible noise* Likewise one item some ppl overlook is the park/nuetral safety switch.. if it malfunctions the computer cant determine if the motor is in drive or park and shuts down the engine as a safety precaution.. contained by the same respect it will keep the engine from starting resembling it would if you tried starting the car in "drive" nil would happen
