My girlfriends Dad's cars knackered and he asked me to send him a replacement subdivision (he works abroad). The only problem is what the bit is? If you could look at the pics and try and identify it it would be great. By the road its a VW Golf 1.4 (I think!)

Answers: Hi within its not a good pic but that looks resembling part of the gear selector linkage that fasten the remote control rods that are fastened to the bottom of the gear lever to the actaul gear selecting machinery on the top of the gearbox which then is used to switch gears
