(ok i bought this car because i couldn't find a 98-02 LS1 Z 28or SS and i got burned by the ******* who sold me it may he suffer for the rest of his life) so adjectives i can do is fix all the problems and make it more powerful consequently a stock LS1 well atleast make it so it lays 315 horsepower at the wheel here are my problems---> 1# fans of some sort can be heard running at the speed of the engine (and no its not the atmosphere conditioning) but i mean c'mon your just suppossed to be audible range fans just the awesome engine reving (not some fan with it) what the hell is this? 2# a bubbling/boiling sound can be hear after the cars turned off after i checked it out the last time i discovered something i hadn't see before antifreeze was pouring out dramatically onto my driveway i didn't see where on earth exactly the leak was coming from its surrounded by the area bewteen the radiator and the resevoir it was too grey to see what is the possible cause or causes and what to do? 3# my temp compute gets hot quickly it also appears to be loose (i be set to it is a 13year old car) could that be to why the gauge is acting up or what? i lately bought a brand new duralast thermostat a 192 degree im hoping this will repair something
What I would do first is alike thing you did,change out the thermostat, sounds close to it gets stuck. If that doesn't shut your fans past its sell-by date at normal operating temperature consequently check fan sensor. Definately flush radiator! Put in 50/50 anti-freeze not a moment ago water. The fluid sounds like is coming from over flow resivoir, but you could own a small hole in th bottom hose of the radiator.
Answers: Check adjectives of you radiator hoses for tight clamps, coolant should not be pouring out from anywhere. Also check the lines that run through the heater core. Buy and install a new temp quantify, they don't cost that much, or buy a factory replacement. Check or just replace your radiator cap if it's out-of-date too. Just make sure you get the required pounds of pressure beside the new one.
Fans-Are they electric or attatched to the water pump? If at the sea pump. Grab it (when the car isn't running, just checking) and see if in attendance is any play in it. If there is replace the river pump. The bearings are bad and the admirer may running "wobbly" causing excess noise and shuddering.
