He wants to check the brake fluid asap.
If it's low, he may have ruptured a seal surrounded by a caliper, or in one of the rear reins brake cylinder.
Regardless he will need to either service, or enjoy it serviced immediately.
The brakes are truly the most important sector of a car!
I agree that more info is needed but if he hit the brakes hard and the sports car is old and rusty underneath, he most likely broke a brake vein. Look for wet spots on the brake lines or dripping down the back side of teh reverse rim... that would mean be blew a seal out of the tiller cylinder (more brake components).. the other thing could be a vacuum problem but that is smaller amount likely.
It's something besides your new pad you just put in...
upright luck!
probably blew a brake line and lost all the fluid.

Steering Pump Bracket 1990 Volvo 740 GLE...

how about checking the height of fluid or jacking the car up and remove the wheel and check the pad. and 3 months good but what about the miles surrounded by that time 5 to 10,000 is about it on cheap brake pads
