my husband hit brakes hard on freeway now today he say that he has little brakes whats wrong just replaced brakes 3 months ago

Look for wet spots on the brake lines or dripping down the back side of teh reverse rim... that would mean be blew a seal out of the tiller cylinder (more brake components).. the other thing could be a vacuum problem but that is smaller amount likely.
