I have a 300ex and get semi metalic brake pads that be after market. When i installed them, the Rotors are hugely tight to the one side of the pads. So tight that you obligation alot of force to turn the rotors. The cylinder was pulled adjectives the way over to one side flush beside the caliper so that has no effect on why they are so close together. The pad do fit over the rotors but barely. I hear the aftermarket pad are thicker and usually dont fit. They have to be shaved down. Any Ideas?
Thanks
Answers: Aftermarket brake pad are not thicker and usually do fit. I've seen this (seldomely) but I enjoy, I would take the pad back and try another brand. I would achieve some Centric ceramic pad, but it sounds to me like the friction bits and pieces on that set of pads be too thick. That is providing you didn't replace the rotors, if you did, that could be the problem.
Thanks
Know where on earth I can find...
