My vacuum lines are all hooked up, and all brand unsullied, however, my gauge says I'm running almost 4-3Hgmm of vacuum too low. I'm at 15Hgmm when I should be around 18-20Hgmm.
I tried the spraying carb cleaner on it method and it didn't do anything. What other methods could I use to find the leak? Its a turbo vehicle by the way.
Did you upgrade the turbo? or modify the car to enjoy more boost?
Answers: Unlit propane torch next to the engine idling. Slowly move the head downthe length of respectively ose, esspecially near when the hoses end at connectors. The spot of any cracks/leaks will result contained by a change in the languish speed.
Carb cleaner will harden rubber hoses.

Pinch rotten hoses with a needle-nose pliers one at a time close to the carb or intake to see if the idle change. Low vacuum could be a few other things as well like bleak timing, improper valve adjustment, throttle plate unstop too far, high altitude, leaking brake booster, etc... Only road to tell for sure is to plug all vacuum ports and retest.

WD40 I've seen many co workers loose their eyebrows, beard, spraying carb cleaner or any other flammable agents in hope of finding vacuum leaks i get lucky one time i got careless(lazy) and grabbed the carb verbs.sprayed some around a carb and oh flames of hell, scared the wits out of the customer standing behind me,read you 02 sensors reading with a scan tool, check your timing, and what is the altitude were you live.Pinch rotten hoses with a needle-nose pliers one at a time close to the carb or intake to see if the idle change.
