on my 91 accord i can't find it...and how often do i want to check it does the car have to be turned on within order to add more fluid

Some cars cannot have transmission fluid added to them approaching that.

I think in an Accord, it is decidedly on one side of the engine (Either far gone or far right, not "kind of in the middle") down beneatht he exhaust headers, looks resembling an oil dipstick.

I'm not sure about a Honda, but my wife's saloon (2000 Pont. Sunfire) doesn't HAVE a trans. dipstick. And yes, it is an automatic. She had to take it to the Dealer to own the level checked and fluid added. This is the first car I've ever see like that. (and the LAST, I hope!)

Answers: contained by my 92 accord its kind of concealed, its way down there. if you look straight down from the freestyle there should be a small dipstick on the tranny thats all if its a auto dont know almost stickshifts

I'm pretty sure your Honda has a dipstick and isn't a hermetically sealed type unit that doesn't have one.It is surly located down flush next to the back of the engine and may be hard to spot.With the engine running,verbs it out ,wipe it off and put it back within then pull it out to see if the stratum is between the marks with the engine thaw.If it needs to be topped off pour a moment or two in the tube using a funnel.
