I just watch a movie about a snow bound couple and it get me to wondering..how long would it take your average sedan, next to a full tank to run out of gas??
Answers: Quite some time, if truth be told. Manufacturers don't list the gallon per hour at rot fuel consumtion rate, but the best fuel economy is at rust, and will be way more than the epa estimate. Besides that, the motor would only enjoy to run 15 minutes each hour to reheat the interior. Properly done, a full reservoir would last several days. 6 hours run time for every 24 hours. I would say aloud about 24 hours run time on a container, so about 4 days, longer if really try to conserve. Also, if within no blizzard condition, the sun will help thaw out the interior, and reduce the engine run time.
