how long until my transmission dies completely if the Engine computer have detected a slipping component but i have no notice any power diff. or that i could notice any slippage... i am getting the fluid and filter changed subsequent week and i am going to add lucus tranny. stop slip.. will this prolong the time or fix it? i have a 2000 chevy blazer 4.3 next to the 4l60-E transmission... i newly need the coup¨¦ to last 6 months if at all possible but i have my dough's... gratitude all answers are appreciated...
Answers: i know this might nouns stupid but dont get the fluid changed or filter. you are losing pressure which is cause the slip. your current fluid has fine metal floating within it and dirt and stuff which will actually give a hand keep the pressure. tranny fluid doesnt break down duplicate as a motor oil. dont vanquish on it and you should make the 6 months.
It'll still end a while. Could just be intermittent problem. Those trannys are pretty tough. I drove one of them for give or take a few a year like that till I sold it to someone else. He's still driving it too.
