I just just now took my 1995 Ford Ranger to my local Advance to find out why my check engine light is on. The results come back as:
"P0401" - EGR Flow Insufficient
The desk light has be on for the past 22,000 miles or so and I never have it checked until now since my truck be running solid. It's still running great, but how much do these EGR valves cost at the moment?
Answers: 93 bucks, depending on what engine/trans you have, and weather its 49 state or California emission, and weather or not its a 4X4.
EGR valves can variety in price, If you know a fitting used parts place, you could save resourcefully over 75% of the cost. These items rarely malfucntion.
