To fix my Automatic transmission in my 97 ford verbs?
Is it even worth it?
I cant exactly afford to get a new sports car and I know this one has it's share of problems. The reason I know my tranny requirements to be fixed is because it changes gears HARD while I am driving, and at times gets stuck within 1st and 2nd. One time, luckally on a side road, it switched into neutral on its own and then subsidise to drive.

VERY VERY SOOYRI HAVE NO IDEA BUT MY FRIEND KNOW ABOUT YOUR QUESTION HIS NUM 9940008136
1...got fluid...2..is sports car tuned?..[bad tune confuses compuiter]...3. go to tranny shop,,, 1200 to 1600..with rebuild converter
Answers: You have to take it to a Transmission shop or the dealership to gain a reliable price quote. It is usually worth it. Even if it costs $2000 that is a lot cheaper than 5 years of payments on a clean car.

You can try replacing the fluid in it, that may prolong it somewhat bit. They also make additives like SeaFoam for Transmissions that claim to give support to that. Normally I wouldn't recommend putting additives in your transmission but it sounds close to you are close to the end anyways. The flush will cost you close to $100 if not more, and this is what I would recommend as your fluid is probably adjectives. You could stop at your local auto parts store and pick up some sea foam for transmissions and try that, but that would be asking a lot of an chemical addition. Of course, if the tranny is too far gone, even changing the fluid won't fix it and you will still have to find it replaced. I don't know how much it would cost to rebuild, so I will let someone next to more experience answer that for you.

Try going and getting the tranny flushed before spending the money into changing it. If you hold to get it rebuilt it'll run you around a regal, while a filter change with a flush might run $50. and could amass some money.VERY VERY SOOYRI HAVE NO IDEA BUT MY FRIEND KNOW ABOUT YOUR QUESTION HIS NUM 9940008136
