If there is a problem involving the coolant, how much would that cost to repair? Is it something I or someone I know that is to say good with cars would be capable of do?
If it is the coolant, can that cause damage beside me driving it? I need to take a 5 hour trip surrounded by 4 days. =(
Answers: Coolant leaks can be anywhere, Did you bump anything, (radiator) did the car find really cold (freeze plugs) does it smell like coolant in the motor ( heater core)
either that or you hold a slow leak somewhere if your just notice it now that your heat seldom works, your low on coolant, or if you only just had coolant system work done their is air contained by the system,
fill the resivor to full with coolant and monitor it if it does fine, so will you , you should be capable of take your trip, Id also bring coolant with me, periodicaly check it, and keep hold of your eye on the temp gauge,
