There is no belt on a dishwasher like previous response - clothes washing machines at one time have them but these as well as the dishwasher are direct drive.

You have something jammed into a rotating piece. My guess is at hand is something solid jammed against the pump impeller.

Dishwashers are simple to work on. Pull it out a little, unhook the water nurture fitting, the pum discharge fitting and the power. Take a look at what you've got - I suspect it will be obvious where on earth to start disassembling to remove stuck part.

Good luck!

Answers:    Possibly the belt for the drum have snapped or came of, pull the washer clear of the work top and remove the top of the washer.
Have a look inside and you should know how to see the black drive belt.
If its not there then you will entail to get a replacement. If however it is there, later you will need to remove the back of the washer. If in that is black soot on the inside of the washing machine this indicates that the motor bushes enjoy worn down.
