I am replacing the transmission within the car, but I am have problems removing the axles. Can anybody help me on what I may be doing wrong? I'm down to the axle everything is stale. Or can anybody help me another style on taking the transmission out of it? gratitude
Answers: You remove the outer axle nut and washer, then using 2 orb peen hammers one beside the ball peen towards the axle spline strike the sledge hammer heads to loosen it from the axle position spline. next remove the lower orb joint popper and lower the ball collective from the steering knuckle pull the axle shaft from the hub carriage, then while prying between the axle and the nouns strike against the axle near the trans to loosen the c-clip that holds the axle into the trans. Then a moment ago pull the axle straight from the nouns to avoid damaging the grease seal.
