How to use detailing clay?

somebody on these forums told that it can remove the gunk from your paint bringing up the original lustre.

here are my question:
can i DIY this on the car?
what are other materials needed?
will it not incentive paint the paint to get trim, rub off the clearcoat or anything approaching that?

car is mitsubishi pajero pinsurrounded by. thanks surrounded by advance!

use a liquid wax. basically spray the wax on and use the whole block and gently scrub the surface, but be sure to hold it lubed with the SPRAY ON wax. you can catch it at any autopart store or walmart in the automotive subdivision. depending on how bad the
clearcoat is, you may entail to have an auto-detailer buff it afterwards, buffing it may certainly be a better way to remove anything it is on your car.im guessing oxidation. it shouldnt cost more than $80 possibly less.(depending on severity)
