Hp formula?

In this formula watts= newtons x meters/ time does it tell you the power per second the watts per second or the time peroid used in the formula

Answers:    watts is power, power is only energy per second. If you want to really know 1 watt= 1 joule/second

edit: no it would lately be 2 watts not per second, you have the math down just not the unit

I can see how you get a little confused, power is heartiness per second. A watt is not energy. A joule is energy. So if you hold say 5000 joules (otherwise known as newton meters) deliver in 2 seconds you would hold 2500J/s=2500W=3.35Hp. Power is a measurement of how much energy be delivered in a set time. Power can be vim per second but cannot be power per second.
