Everytime my car is idle I hear a irritating uproar that only I can hear and it feels as though the bottom of my saloon is about to fall out. I can be aware of it underneath my gas pedal. My boss husband said it may be my wheel bearing, so how much would that cost for a 2001 imperial prix? FYI... My car shakes really bad when I press the breaks? Do I own bad rotors too?
Your question is not posed well so I will have to guess a bit.
I doubt your problem is pedals bearings. When they go discouraging, they make a quiet grinding thud with no vibration. Still, replacing them is somewhat expensive. Expect that to replace one bearling (thre are two/side on some cars) on one side will cost $200 - $400 depending upon how much of the front suspension must be dismantled.
Most likely, you have perverse rotors an possibly bad calipers which cause your brake pad to drag and grind. I suspect that you have a large brake repair bill waiting surrounded by your near future.
New rotors, pad and calipers for the front of your Grand Prix will run about $450 installed.

You'll just want discs and calipers..most ABS systems pulsate in that condition, usually dirty brake fluid causing the caliper to grab.
If it was a wheelbearing the ABS wheel sensor would throw a code and pallid on the dash.
Yes wheel bearings is a possibility and so is desperate calipers, rotors, and stabilizers, Also if it is a front wheel drive it could also be a bad axle Have it checked out soon It is possible for the helm to fall off and rationale a nasty accident. Good luck

Answers: yes you could have discouraging wheel bearings and they also can raison d`¨ºtre vibration/chattering when brakes are applied as it places an additional load on the bearing. go to an auto parts store near you(prices oscillate by geographical area) and ask for parts prices. ps you say you hear it at idle- bearings are not moving afterwards car must be moving(tires) or bearing is not doing anything suitable luck
