I hold a G reg Sierra saphire, the door locks work from inside but not from the push button outside- any tips for me?

I would like to any find a cheap way to repair them properly or disable them (is that possible?) and use them as encyclopaedia locks.

The car is worth lb450 and I don't want to spend too much at fords to return with another 11 months of use-- if I can help it! but the cars too obedient to junk.

If I lately disconnect them at the battery - will it work or will it affect the vehicle in any other way-- i.e. on the engine administration side? If ok, what wire is it best to disconnect and where on earth do I find it? Is there a fuse you can remove?

Will they work as de-electrified instruction book locks or do have I to immediately source i.e buy normal knob locks and fit them instead (is that even possible?)

Any tips or other info would help immensely. Thanks

Heater wont bring hot?

I have have a similar problem with a Ford Mondeo. Please Google " ford Sierra door locks" as I did beside my Ford Mondeo, and a whole raft of scholarship comes up. My problem was solved by shifting a fuse !
