I resently had the altenator replaced with a brand modern one. So that shoundt be the issue. The squeel is very high pitch and get higher as I go faster. Can anyone notify me what the issue is and how much it might cost?
Your belt is the wrong type. If it isn't try some belt spray, not anything else just the proper spray. The belt may a short time ago need an adjustment ,they do stretch a bit when new and slip.
WAIT it could be the belt on your engine also that shouldnt cost that much but idk bout vic`s sounds similar to the belt is either loose OR to tight or the tension pulley is going doomed to failure
That sounds like the belt, or possibly the belt tensioner. It is still winter, so it may just be due to the cold, or your tensioner could be worn~ though its not predictable due to the age of the car. My 2003 Cobra squeals like a pig when started contained by the winter, as does my 2003 Ranger. Its very common for Ford products.

Answers: Drive belt is slipping, belt may need to be replaced and/or belt tensioner. Another thing, do you hold the heater mode control set to defrost? If so, turn to floor setting only and days conclusion driving. The next morning start, same noise? Check belt and tensioner..No rumbling, drag from the a/c compressor is causing the belt to slip. Compressor should be replace and a new belt put on. You should NEVER spray anything on the belt, and within is absolutely nothing to grease..All bearing in pulleys are sealed type bearing. Grease will only cause more problems.

Probably the complement belt. Could be a pulley that needs greasing. Or who knows, that exotic alternator could be defective.
