Can you please tell me where on earth I can find the transmission fluid drain plug contained by a 1998 Ford Expedition. I would assume that it doesn't matter what year they adjectives have like peas in a pod location for the drain plug.
Answers: If your ford is 2 wheel drive beside automatic transmission, near is no drain plug. To change the grease, remove the transmission grease pan bolts and own a large jar underneath to catch the grease. There is more oil within the torque converter. As I recall, you remove the inspection plate at the bellhousing and turn the torque converter until you can see the drain plug. You will inevitability to buy a new gasket and grease filter when you put it back together. It take a lot of grease, get two cases and check the stratum after starting and running for a few minutes.
